I have looked at the other mail list archive at: https://lists.libre-soc.org/pipermail/libre-soc-dev/2025-June/ I think that you are correct; Luke unsubscribed two email addresses but did not unsubscribe the third one - so he continued to receive email but could not figure out why. I will shortly unsub luke.leighton(a)googlemail.com and that will be the end of it. It is a shame that Luke just did not ask for this to be done. Luke persists is claiming that I "seized control" of the mail lists; this is not true as I have always been the admin as the lists run on my machine. He has been reminded of this recently but persists in so saying - something that in other circles would be called "fake news" or more plainly "lies". This is a simple example that is repeated many times. I think that you all need to learn from this how Luke behaves and how he talks about others whom he has decided are no longer his friends. I have seen him do this to several others and then accuse them of harming him -- an inversion of the truth; this is called Gas Lighting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_lighting I received an email from Luke just now, see below (it is all in capitals). The only communications that I have recently made have been through this mail list. I have been polite and respectful, you can verify that by looking at your mail history. At the time I declined. I now feel that I do not need to as Luke has illustrated how he acts to people who are acting reasonably. If I had replied in a manner similar to how he has ... something akin to world war three would have broken out :-( So: be wary at believing everything that Luke says. Yes: he has mental health problems and this seems to cause him to act in aggressive & irrational ways. Yes: some (eg health) institutions could have acted better towards him; they are large organisations and sometimes get things wrong; I do not believe that anyone has deliberately singled him out and maliciously acted to hurt him. As I have said: many of us wish Luke the best; however the way that he acts is burning the good will that people have for him, unfortunately. Let us hope that this is the end of this and that Luke recovers from his health problems. I am the owner of this email list - I always have been, it runs on my equipment. I recently rejected a posting from Luke as it was off topic. The stated purpose for this email list is "Eco-Conscious Computing". This is what members of the mail list subscribed to talk about. As Luke has posted emails containing material that is very off topic to this, and other email lists, I have set his account to be 'moderated'. This means that what he writes to the list will first need to be approved, by me, before it is sent to members on the mail list. I am doing this so that list members do not receive off-topic emails. I will approve on-topic emails. Luke just tried to write the following to the list (I only quote the start) - I rejected it as off-topic, what he writes is also inaccurate. **** WILLIAMS having seized control of the mailing list running the EOMA68 project is now engaging in active Censorship, having rejected the message below. the arm-netbook mailing list now comprises material evidence of criminal activity and i would appreciate it if people could mirror it to preserve the integrity of the evidence. **** I rejected it with the message: "This list is for eco-friendly computing. I am rejecting this email as it is off topic." Luke: we wish you the best and hope for your speedy recovery from your current medical problems. And here we go, the same threatening copy-pasta which he sent to dozens of people over the years, and icing on the cake, the usual report to British police services who are sick of him and his (monthly? weekly?) reports about, well, anyone. That's what happens to anyone to gets in contact with him, whatever the approach is. Those who try to be nice: it will just take a bit longer but you'll end up in the same situation. So yes, ban him if he doesn't unsuscribe as he says he would (but if you count on that: he almost never does it and anyway he always comes back).
