off topic, idk where else to ask. Photos and additional info about these 12 led rgbw par lights: https://joindiaspora.com/posts/d4c27f80d4c40135bebf0242ac110007 By chance would anyone know where firmware for these cheap china led pars might be? cus i have a few but they all have different firmware. i have 2 versions of the IR remote edition and a non-remote one. I might just get a few more of just single/same edition and be done with it but if i could flash them all with the same firmware that would be great! quite brilliant these little things. floss firmware would make huge potential :). Hoping someone in china might have a clue. I guess the firmware is proprietary or unknown dev but ever hopeful me is :).

OT: verify.sandisk.cn is working?

Got sd card from china, write speeds are 5mb/s (1gb files i think) using f3 to test capacity. Anyway wanted to verify its genuine but http://verify.sandisk.cn/ doesn’t load for me, not even when using tor. i can access http://sandisk.cn/ If someone whos not too busy. Fancy seeing if it works in china? Else anyone got a recommendation for a no-fee proxy into china? Verify number: 888285238468559181 Thanks

Computer without Entropy

Is it possible to take RISC design to an extreme and design a core without any practical vectors for entropy based on timekeeping? Something like lambda calculus on a chip, except differentiating multiple output devices not just a theoretical "tape". Of course damage will always create some entropy, but not the kind which can be harnessed in anyway relevant to the current imagination.

Hi, I'm out on a limb with Allwinner R40 circuit diagram. I want to make open source KiCAD Linux board(s). This time I got more funding to finish the project compared to the A10/A20 version tried when EOMA was being prototyped :) https://hellosemi.com/KiCAD_Linux_Boards.html I only find the BPi version so far. Hi, yesterday I stumbled upon Turris MOX, a modular computer. It seems to be an interesting endeavor which might be easily extended with a graphic card module or any card module you could think of. Urgent statement on Cryptocurrency ethics

This is difficult to express so please bear patience. Able manipulators of money do exploit the interest in cryptocurrency to affect the prices thereof, purchase and sell cryptocurrency increasing their stockpile of national and international currencies while sustaining their supply of cryptocurrency. The practice of buying low and selling high, is generally accepted, but I refute it. Not only does no way of proving if they manipulated the price practical, but buying low and selling high can only be possible if someone somewhere tries to change the price of whatever their trade includes. This means the price of bitcoin should be decided by netizens across internet forums and some powerful actor is ensuring that can't happen. As a store of economic influence, I fully agree and support the decision to hold donated bitcoin. However to convert it by means of trade into any other currency, while what is happening is happening, I can't stomach this morally. Individuals who are getting tricked into purchasing cryptocurrency at exactly the wrong moments are losing all the have. This is not simply gambling with high-stakes, there is a concerted effort to deceive people into purchasing bitcoin and other currencies. If anyone sells cryptocurrency now, they very likely risk funding these scams. Please do not sell donated bitcoin or any other donated cryptocurrency for the foresee-able future. This is not a permanent problem, but one we can't know when will be resolved. Thank you. -J. L.
